They and their family left England on 14.11.1849 aboard the 'Clifton' a frigate built ship of 867 tons, and landed at Port Phillip on 12.2.1850. His address at that time was, c/o Mr. Smith, Saddle and Harness maker, Great Collins Street, Melbourne, Port Phillip, New South Wales.
