INFO BIOGRAPHY from Leask's Australian Genealogies: Nathaniel [LADE] of Hythe, Kent, Eng., b. 6.11.1808 at Perry Farm, Chartham, Kent, Eng., d. 29.10.1887 at Melbourne, Vic., m.1832 at Hythe, Kent, Eng., Susannah Goldfinch b.1808 at Hythe, Kent, d.6.6.1856 at Melbourne, Vic., Aust., bd. family grave Melbourne General cemetery. They and their family left England on 14.11.1849 aboard the 'Clifton' a frigate built ship of 867 tons, and landed at Port Phillip on 12.2.1850. His address at that time was, c/o Mr. Smith, Saddle and Harness maker, Great Collins Street, Melbourne, Port Phillip, New South Wales. They lived at Hope Street, Brunswick, and farmed at Moonee Ponds. (LeaskAusGen, p.315.)
