"The many friends and acquaintances of Mrs. Germain Nicholson (nee Miss Nellie Wightman), will regret to learn that she expired at her residence, Numurkah, yesterday. The deceased lady had been unwell for some considerable time, and it is but a few days ago that her respected father, Mr. R. W. Wightman, J.P., returned from a visit to his daughter. The late Mrs. Nicholson was well-known and highly respected throughout this and adjoining shires and her somewhat sudden death has come as a great shock to those we were intimately acquainted with her in the early days of Alexandra."
