INFO BIOGRAPHICAL NOTES - "Clarice Adeliade Waud 1911,1977 [sic]. She was also a teacher of Music and Dance, and a Breeder of Toy Dogs. Clarice's Father died when she was aged 7yrs. She died 29th Dec 1977 [sic] aged 85 yrs. During her lifetime she lived in Cockermouth Cumberland and worked as a teacher and arranged musical events for the Northern Circuit. She was an administrator for many organisations including the English Folk Dance Society and the Service for the Blind League. Her final home was in Haslemere Surrey. She was also a Judge at the Crufts Dog Show London. Her Aunt Mrs Brabazon introduced her to the Dog Show World. She bred Papillons, her favorite breed, and wrote many books on this and other breeds of Toy Dogs. I never met Clarice. I spoke to her on the telephone and we wrote to each other up to her death. She did mention that her Family branch emigrated to Australia, and that the remainder in England were now all deceased." (CorresJOHWA email 19 Apr 2005.)
