Archdeacon Grace: Harry White Horton, the eldest son of the late Thomas Horton and Mrs Horton, to Bertha Louisa, fifth daughter of the late F.T. Farmar and Mrs. Farmar. In younger days an auctioneer and stock buyer in Blenheim, keen follower of cricket & rugby (repr of the province for some years for both sports). In later years an able cricket umpire and coach. Survived by widow, and family of 5: Messrs F.W. Horton, Blenheim; F.T. Horton, Havelock suburban, and G.W. Horton, Taihape. Mesdames F.H. Dodson, Spring Creek & E.J. Brammall, Queen Charlotte Sound.
